Harbour Sport are looking for a person to provide leadership and strategic direction and be the lead for spaces and places in the Harbour region. You will also contribute to sector development in the North Harbour region. You will engage across the sport system in Auckland and facilitate alignment and collaboration across the sector in relation to spaces and places and build and enhance engagement and community relationships.

You will have excellent leadership, advocacy and facilitation skills as you work with the key partners and stakeholders in the community, sports and council to develop and implement a future Spaces & Places and Sector Development Plan. You will be able to contribute to the development of effective monitoring and evaluation methods that demonstrate the impact of the work delivered by spaces & places and sector development in key outcome areas.

Building the capability of sector agencies in relation to spaces & places, assisting in the development of facility plans for Auckland and developing innovative solutions/tactics in response to the needs of spaces & places and sector development is required. Use insights in the development of plans and approaches to support spaces & places and sector development.

This role will also provide strategic advice and support to Regional Sports Organisations, Clubs and schools to improve capability in delivery of sport. Experience working with sports in capability building and working with Territorial Authorities, Councils and Local Boards is an advantage.

Start date is 3 July 2017 and salary includes a vehicle.
