As part of the Rugby League World Cup 2017 leverage and legacy programme we have developed an education pack for all Primary and Intermediate schools, the resources sit inside the health, physical education and social science strands of the NZ curriculum.
There are two components to the pack.
- NZRL curriculum resource cards – 3 themes – wellbeing, leadership, and resilience
- RLWC2017 tournament booklet – all you need to know – history, people, teams and 2017 specifics
There are a number of competitions running throughout the year for all registered schools, our first winner, Waimata School senior class (near Waihi), won tickets to the 11th November Hamilton game, NZ v Tonga.
To date, there are 200 schools using this pack in their classrooms. We would be very grateful if you could use your databases to spread the word – using sport as a vehicle to inspire learning in the classroom.
