East Asia Fest – Albany is an annual celebration held every 21 February at the Albany Community Hub and Library. Designed to bring families and communities together, the festival honours the diverse cultures and New Year traditions of East and Southeast Asia—including Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese, Filipino, and more. With cultural performances, food stalls, hands-on activities, and vibrant displays, the event creates a space where people of all backgrounds can connect, learn, and celebrate the richness of Asian heritage in Aotearoa.
