      Women in Sport Development Programme

Sport, as an environment, holds the potential to act as a catalyst for positive change. This initiative is specifically crafted to provide support and empowerment to female members currently involved in sports clubs within the Harbour region. Its primary objectives are to foster the development of their leadership skills and guide them in creating and executing action plans aimed at facilitating the growth of their respective clubs and sports.

      The requirements:

      • Applicants must be females between 18-24 years of age on January 1st 2024
      • Currently an active member of a sports club/RSO/NSO in the North Harbour region
      • Have support from their club and completed club/NSO/RSO support form

      What’s inolved:

If you’re presently engaged as a member in a sports club within the North Harbour region and aspire to bring about positive transformations in your club, RSO, or NSO, we are eager to assist you in making those aspirations a reality. Across an 6-month duration, our goal is to facilitate the enhancement of your leadership skills while also providing support in crafting and executing an action plan, enabling you to enact the changes you envision for your sport. You will be excpected to develop an ‘action plan’ and run a pilot during your time on the programme.

      How to apply:

This programme is fully funded. To submit your application, simply complete the form provided below and include a cover letter introducing yourself and explaining why you believe this program is a suitable fit for you. Additionally, ensure that your club/RSO/ NSO completes the club support form as part of the application process.
