AUT have teamed up with Harbour Sport to implement an initiative of identifying governance opportunities for our future leaders that enables them to effectively contribute towards and learn from the Boards or Committees in the Harbour region.
AUT University has begun an initiative by forming a Student Sport Governance Club to give its students the opportunity to learn skills and gain competencies in Governance and Leadership.
There is a strong desire from the students to apply these skills in real-life situations as this provides relevant development opportunities post-study and the ability to become the voices of our future.
The Governance Club meets once a month to hone their skills to develop their skillset and build confidence in all areas of Governance & Leadership. The benefits of having a young voice with clear eyes and a fresh perspective will only be advantageous for your organisation moving forward.
The students are all studying tertiary qualifications and come with various skills outside of Governance & Leadership; from Accounting majors, to Marketing superstars, the students may also be able to fill a need in the back-office if your organisation has a suitable position.
If you are interested in finding out more information, or you may have a vacancy or position becoming available we would love to hear from you.
