Harbour Sport He Toa Taua is north Auckland’s regional sports trust covering the rohe o Rodney, Albany and North Shore. We have a vision of a physically active and healthy community and strive to inspire, empower and strengthen our community through physical activity, health and wellbeing. In alignment with He Toa Taua/Stronger Together we provide advocacy, expertise, investment and resource to sport and recreation organisations, clubs, coaches and schools.

The Board has a strong governance culture, operates at a strategic level, and has a deep commitment to meeting the needs of the Harbour Sport community.

- our organisation is committed to honouring Te Tiriti o Waitangi and we welcome applicants with skills and experience to strengthen our Te Aō Māori capability;
- expertise in human resource/human capital management would be beneficial;
- networks within education in our rohe would add value.
Collegiality and the ability to work constructively with fellow trustees are requisites, prior governance experience is favourable.
Commitment
This is a voluntary appointment with bi-monthly in-person board meetings along with additional sub-committee meetings and strategy sessions. You will be encouraged to attend functions or events as a Board representative. Preparedness to be an active contributor and to commit the time and effort required are essential.
