This award honours a shared commitment to strengthening communities through sport, play and recreation – impacting over 30,000 people each year across North Harbour.
Harbour Sport and Harcourts Cooper & Co Celebrate National Award for Championing Community Through Sport
Auckland, New Zealand – Harbour Sport, under the banner of He Toa Taua, proudly acknowledges the recognition of its partnership with Harcourts Cooper & Co at the 2025 Sport New Zealand Sport and Recreation Awards. The duo received the prestigious Commercial Partnership Award, honouring a powerful collaboration that continues to enrich lives through Play, Sport and Recreation across the North Harbour region.
The award celebrates the impact of a values-led partnership that has delivered over 40 community events annually, engaging more than 30,000 participants and investing nearly $390,000 into local sport and recreation initiatives.
At the heart of this success is Harcourts Cooper & Co’s unwavering commitment to the community. Their generous contributions – from supporting grassroots events like Shore to Shore, to club sponsorships across football, rugby, badminton and more – are a testament to their belief in building thriving, connected communities.

- Shore to Shore (5,300 participants)
- North Shore Rugby, Northcote Rugby, Silverdale Rugby
- East Coast Bays, Takapuna, Birkenhead United Football Clubs
- Badminton North Harbour (with 120,000+ court bookings annually)
- North Harbour Rugby’s Rippa Festival (4,400 participants)
- Takapuna Beach Series, Run Series, Devonport Half Marathon, and Auckland Tuatara Basketball
This collective effort not only increases participation but strengthens social cohesion, supports youth development, and inspires community pride.
