We’re looking for a highly organised, details focus, people-savvy administrator who loves working behind the scenes to make great programmes happen in schools and the community. This role supports the delivery of cycle skills training across Auckland’s North & West regions and works closely with our Community Bike Lead to keep everything running smoothly.

The Purpose of This Role
You will manage the administration and coordination of our Cycle Skills Training programme, ensuring professional, seamless delivery across schools and community settings.
You’ll be the engine room behind the programme — coordinating instructors, schedules, schools, reporting, training logistics, and stakeholder relationships.
You’ll also be trained to deliver the programme to children and adults.
What You’ll Be Doing

Coordinating cycle skills training delivery in schools and the community (aligned to Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency, Bike Ready modules)

Coordinating rosters, instructors, contractors, and schedules

Supporting recruitment and upskilling of cycle instructors

Providing high-quality administration for all bike projects

Supporting Bikes in Schools programmes and community events (e.g. Wheels Days)

Maintaining strong relationships with partners including:

Auckland Transport

Auckland Council
-
Schools, Principals and Teachers

Bike On New Zealand Charitable Trust

Local Boards, bike shops, community hubs and sports clubs

Assisting with reporting, funding applications, and communications
What We’re Looking For
You might be perfect for this role if you:

Love administration, planning, and coordination
-
Enjoy working with schools, young people, and communities

Have experience in sport, recreation, education, or community programmes

Are confident managing logistics and multiple moving parts

Have excellent communication skills and are comfortable with Word, Excel, Canva and online systems

Can build positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
-
Hold (or are working towards) cycle skills instructor accreditation
-
Have a full driver’s licence and can tow a trailer
-
Are flexible to work occasional evenings or weekends when needed
Qualifications in sport, recreation, coaching, community development or outdoor recreation are an advantage but not essential.
