University Students Sport or Recreation Work Experience

Sport or recreation university students often need to gain ‘real’ experience in the workplace as part of their studies(e.g. Internship/Co-op/WIL/Practicum/Placement). The duration of ‘real’ workplace experience ranges from 30-600 hours depending on their programme of study. For more information about getting  a university student placed with you then contact Massey or AUT Universities and they can promote your request within their respective university network.

PLEASE NOTE: When emailing either of the universities to enquire about having a student placed with your club/ sporting organisation, please provide the following information to streamline the process:

  • Specify that your enquiry is in regards to having a student placed with your club/ sporting organisation
  • Name of your club/ sporting organisation
  • Area of work (eg. marketing, finance, events)
  • Brief desription of role (eg. responsibilities, committments, expected hours)

TERM DATES:

Semester One: Late February – Late June
Semester Two: Late July – November
