About the role
This is a varied, hands-on role for a capable communications professional who can combine creativity with strong coordination and delivery. You will support Harbour Sport’s marketing and communications activity across programmes, events, partnerships and organisational priorities.
The role includes:
- creating engaging content and community stories
- managing website and digital content updates
- coordinating social media and online engagement
- producing e-newsletters and stakeholder communications
- supporting campaigns, promotions and event communications
- using analytics and insights to improve performance
- helping maintain strong and consistent Harbour Sport branding
About you
You will be an organised and adaptable communicator who can work across multiple projects and audiences with accuracy and good judgement.
You will bring:
- at least 3 years’ relevant experience in marketing, communications, digital media or related work
- strong writing and content creation skills
- experience with websites, social media and email marketing platforms
- basic photography, video capture and editing capability
- confidence working with stakeholders and internal teams
- a strong eye for detail and the ability to manage deadlines
- a genuine interest in community impact through sport, recreation and wellbeing
An understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, cultural responsiveness, and experience working with diverse communities will be important.
