Sport NZ and Harbour Sport would like to invite you to participate in a forum for the purposes of providing feedback and insights in the future of the Kiwisport Regional Partnership Fund.

KiwiSport LogoThe KiwiSport Regional Partnership Fund was first established in October 2009 with the aim to:

  • Increase the number of school-aged children participating in organised sport
  • Increase the availability and accessibility of sport opportunities for all school-aged children
  • Support children in developing skills that will enable them to participate effectively in sport

Since that time over $55 million has been invested into communities across the country via Regional Sports Trusts. Over 4,000 initiatives, delivering to over 5 million kids, have been funded.

Since 2009, Sport NZ has further developed its strategy and broader philosophical approach towards participation of young people in sport, active recreation and play.  A review of the KiwiSport Regional Partnership Fund in consideration of the developed strategy and philosophy is now underway and requires your input.

The Review and therefore the forum are future focused i.e. how can Kiwisport best have an impact on young people’s participation from 2020 onwards.  We want to understand what changes and improvements, if any, could be applied to the KiwiSport Regional Partnership Fund to achieve New Zealanders developing a life-long love of participating in community sport.

This forum will be interactive and solution focused.  It is scheduled for 2.5hrs.
