A very exciting opportunity has arisen to lead a quality team of people in a world-class sporting facility.
North Harbour Hockey Association is looking for a new Chief Executive Officer to lead an established and talented group of people at the new National Hockey Centre in Albany. Apart from commercial skills, sports administration and facility management skills, the primary attribute the candidate will need to demonstrate is strong people skills.
We take great pride in the existing inclusive culture at ‘Harbour’, and the Board sees this only growing further as we progress our diversity and sustainability initiatives. There is also a diverse range of relationships to manage, such as staff, local authorities, clubs, a trust board, Hockey NZ, Sport NZ, sponsors, tournament organisers, other RSOs, etc.
While we work hard on our relationships, we also work hard on our player and staff development. This has led to good results across various areas, and we aim to keep that level high.
