PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: 

Serving the Volleyball community in a proactive and enthusiastic manner reflecting the Volleyball NZ strategic plan and adhering to the Volleyball NZ values. Leading Volleyball New Zealand’s overall coaching development across New Zealand. This includes developing, maintaining, delivering and presenting the coaching framework, coach development and coach developer training.

Chief Executive, Senior Leadership Team, Game Development Manager 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • To provide strong leadership to ensure the effective development and delivery of the VNZ Coach Development National Framework
  • Deliver the VNZ Coach Development National Framework
  • Manage the reporting for Coach Accreditation
  • Create resources, strategies and updates to support the implementation of the National Framework
  • Continue to refine the current pathway and structure for coach development that recognises the specific needs of coaches and the players they work with
  • Effectively market and promote national and regional coach development opportunities
  • Develop and oversee a national VNZ Coaches network
  • Lead Coach Developer programmes and networks across New Zealand
  • Oversee and ensure high standards of formal delivery and support for Developing Coaches
  • Support Associations to develop a Talented Coaches Pathway
  • Development and delivery of Women’s Coach Development strategy
