New Zealand CricketCricket is New Zealand’s premier summer sport with 170,000 people currently playing the game, making it one of the most widely played sports in the country.

New Zealand Cricket is a full member of the International Cricket Council and is responsible for the governance and delivery of cricket in this country. Our strategic imperative is to develop cricket as a game for all New Zealanders; and as a game for life – promoting our principles of inclusivity and diversity.

NZC is powered by a “top-down” financial model, with governance that places an emphasis on nurturing the community, junior and fan-engagement side of the game, in order to provide pathways to the international stage, and to grow the game in general.

With around 70 employees plus a number of seasonal contractors based across our Lincoln High Performance Centre and our Auckland Support Services Office, we’re a passionate and enthusiastic team committed to living and breathing our core Values: Inclusivity, Respect, Tenacity, Optimism, and Fun.

NZC wishes to appoint a National Female Participation Manager as part of its strategy to widen the appeal of cricket to under-represented groups.  This new role promotes female participation in cricket across playing, governance, coaching and the promotion of community commercial opportunities, acting as the champion for female participation in all relevant strategies of the integrated business model.

Responsibilities include:

Developing a pathway for female players, with a focus on youth and adult cricket.
Communicating the benefits of the pathway to development staff at community level
Identify growth opportunities for females in non-traditional and under-represented areas
Identify and share community female initiatives to the wider cricketing family
The ideal person will:

Have had success in developing and driving a new strategy
Possess a strong background in project management
Be passionate about providing better experiences for females in cricket
Have experience of presenting to a variety of different stakeholders (senior management, schools, junior clubs, coaches, volunteers)
Have strong administration experience
Embrace the NZC brand, culture and values
