Over recent days, we have seen the situation with COVID-19 continue to escalate, with significant travel restrictions implemented by the New Zealand Government.
This has widespread implications across every part of our daily interactions, including recreational and sport-related activities.
This situation is unprecedented in New Zealand and around the world, and we continue to follow the guidelines of the Ministry of Health as we navigate these uncertain times.
In order to protect the health of our community, we have made the difficult decision to cancel or postpone a number of upcoming events. We encourage you to visit our Facebook page for up to date information about affected activities.
We have been fielding a number of enquiries from clubs and our sporting community relating to COVID-19. To assist, we have taken the opportunity to share below a list of organisations that can provide informed, timely information.

Over this time, we encourage you to communicate with your club or organisation members about this unfolding situation and how it may affect club-related activities, games and events. It would also be pertinent to share appropriate health and hygiene-related messages. The Ministry of Health guidelines, here are ideal.
On a final note, please take care of yourselves and your whānau during this time and check in with those around you. This is a time of significant change that’s likely to create some anxiety, which can be particularly hard for vulnerable people in our communities.
Let’s work together to look after each other.
