Join Harbour Sport and the Albany Community Hub as their Community Event Coordinator!
Harbour Sport is seeking an organised and community-focused Community Event Coordinator to support the planning and delivery of high-quality events across the North Harbour region.
This role plays a key part in delivering flagship events such as the Harbour Sport Excellence Awards, Shore to Shore, and a range of Albany Community Hub events including the Asian New Years Festival and World Play Day.
We are looking for someone who brings strong event planning capability, operational detail, and end-to-end event process experience, along with the ability to work effectively with staff, volunteers, community groups, suppliers, and partners.
This is a great opportunity to work part-time (20hrs/ week) in a values-driven organisation and help deliver events that connect and inspire our community.
About the role:
- Coordinate the planning and delivery of Harbour Sport and Albany Community Hub events
- Develop detailed event plans, run sheets, budgets, and logistics
- Support Health & Safety planning and risk management
- Coordinate volunteers, suppliers, and stakeholders
- Contribute to positive community engagement and high-quality event experiences
About you:
- Proven experience across the full event lifecycle
- Strong organisational skills and attention to operational detail
- Confident communicator who builds strong relationships
- Comfortable working some evenings and weekends
- Passion for community, sport, and recreation
