Basketball New Zealand are looking for a People Development Lead
You will be responsible for developing and implementing the People Development Strategy which will include coach, officials, and leadership development programmes. You will need experience in developing frameworks for learning and development and a willingness to grow your technical knowledge and seek input from advisory groups. This is a senior role working closely with our community team, member associations, and advisory groups, to identify and respond to development needs and opportunities. You will draw from existing resources and develop new ones, enabling you to lead the delivery of courses, workshops, and other forms of training across the country.
You will need: A relevant qualification, or equivalent significant experience in a training and development environment; a sound understanding of the sport sector; a passion for life-long learning and developing people; excellent written and oral communication skills.
This is a full-time, permanent, employment opportunity that requires flexibility and a willingness to travel. An understanding of basketball as a sport would be advantageous.
