👇 Read why below...👇

"I've just raced at the Oceania and NZ Canoe Racing Championships this past weekend and it went better than I could've even dreamed! I took home 5 NZ and Oceania Titles including my first ever individual NZ title (in any age group or sport)! This included winning the triple 200m crown (All 3 200m events) and both K4 events (200m and 500m). I also managed to qualify for all 3 K1 individual A-finals for the first time ever (200m, 500m and 1000m) with 2 new personal best times!

I just want to say thank you so much to you and everyone else at North Harbour Sport for the Hand Up Fund that I received, I put this funding towards a brand new Nelo Sete K1 Kayak which is made in Portugal and has just been released in time for the Tokyo Olympics!"

Supporting Families with Children from 5 to 12 years

What is Active Families?

Active Families assists families of overweight and obese children to become more active, gain nutrition knowledge and become involved in regular activity (sport). Families receive support through weekly activity sessions that build skills for sport and increase confidence levels around being active. Specific nutrition knowledge is delivered in a fun and entertaining way. The family also receives in-home visits to get support on nutrition knowledge, activity time, screen time and BMI for the child / family.

Active Families aims to improve family’s attitudes toward physical activity through fun physical activity experiences as well as introducing them to healthy food options and teach them to make healthy food choices.
